I am the Clinical Support Assistant for the Spires Cleft Centre and the Oxford Craniofacial Unit. I’m here to support both teams by preparing clinics, updating patient records, communicating with patients and their families, as well as providing other general support where needed. Currently, I am a student at the University of Oxford, studying French and Linguistics, but I hope to undertake graduate training to become a Speech and Language Therapist once this is finished.
I am particularly interested in the cleft treatment pathway, having been born with a cleft lip and palate myself. I have been involved with the Spires Cleft Centre my whole life, first as a patient, and took up this position in January 2024. I’m excited to be working in the service, and to hopefully provide support to the whole cleft team.
